What is the procedure for a Vampire Facial®?
A certified provider first applies a numbing cream to the face and while this is being absorbed, blood is drawn from the arm in the same way as with any other blood test. Then, using a centrifuge and a special procedural method, Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) and resultant growth factors are isolated from the whole blood. This process takes about 10 minutes and can be done there in the room with the patient. Once preparation is complete and the patient is numb, a specialized microneedling pen is used to deposit the PRP (aka growth factors) into the skin. Don’t worry, little to no pain is felt due to the previous application of numbing cream. The final procedural step concludes with the topical application of PRP that needs to remain on the skin for 4 hours. Therefore, no showering or extensive workouts for a few hours following the procedure.

What is the difference between a Vampire Facial® and a Vampire Facelift®?
